UPDATE: 12/7/2022- In the past few months, I have completed four screenplays adapted from my books and short stories. They have been submitted to screenplay contests, and I’m working on paths to get them read by producers. Now I have started researching for my 12th book—the sixth Steve Rawlings Adventure novel is in the works. Look for it next Spring/Summer. In case you haven’t read them all yet, here is where you can find them. MY BOOKS

UPDATE: 10/09/2022- I have completed spec screenplays for my novel, The Forgotten Man, and two of my short stories,  The Darian Gap, and The Dream RV. Working on a screenplay for The Hoover, and a Part Two for The Dream RV.

UPDATE: 09/12/2022- Currently working on screenplays for my short stories, The Hoover and The Dream RV, and my novel, The Forgotten Man.  While I have material backlogged for my next novels, I’m going to dedicate the next few months, possibly the next year, to adapting novels and short stories into screenplays.

Update: 08/19/2022- After a few all-nighters I have published, Not a Victim—Lessons in Survival, earlier than anticipated. It is my first foray into the illustrated non-fiction self-help genre so I am very excited about its release. Now I’m off to work on a screenplay based on The Forgotten Man series. We’ll see where this takes me.

UPDATE: 08/14/2022— I am nearing completion of book #11, a treatise titled,  Not a Victim—Lessons in Survival, which should publish around the first of September 2022. After that, my plans now are to take a break from book writing for a time and concentrate my writing efforts on developing a series screenplay from The Forgotten Man series.  I’m very excited about the project, something I have had in the back of my mind for a while. Stay tuned for further updates.

UPDATE: 07/04/2022-  After the successful launch of book #10, Predators’ Highway, I’m not letting any moss grow on the old stump. I have restarted a project I’ve been working on for some time. Book #11 will be an instruction manual on how not to become a victim of violent crime or human trafficking. Tentatively titled—Not a Victim- Lessons in Survival. It is my hope it will help others protect themselves from the evil that pervades our world. Stay tuned for updates.

Some other projects I’m proud to be involved with: I have submitted two books, The Redemption Wall and Crossroads Texas, to the International Book Awards in conjunction with the Conference on Abuse, presented by Hope Pyx Global during October 20-21, 2022 in Houston, Texas. The purpose is to raise awareness for prevention and to end abuse and human trafficking.

Also, very privileged to be a guest speaker on Oct. 30, 2022, on the Rescue Telethon, organized by a great organization, Human Trafficking Rescue, INC— traffickingrescue.org   Visit this site to learn more about the event.

UPDATE: 01/23/2022- STEVE RAWLINGS IS BACK! Predators Highway, book #5 of The Forgotten Man series is well underway. I’m offering my voracious readers a chance to follow along as the story develops. A few episodes will be published each week on Kindle Vella. Click here: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B09QZDLTNM    to follow, Predators Highway as I write it.

UPDATE: 10/27/2021- My 9th novel, Crossroads Texas, was published and went LIVE on Amazon yesterday. It was a long year of writing the 439 page book, plus having to go through a total (left) hip replacement in September. It was long overdue, and I have scheduled the right side to be replaced April 2022. An active life, mixed with many close call including, but not limited to, walking away from four seperate chopper crashes in the triple canopy jungles of Colombia has caught up to me. Thank goodness I can still write while rehabbing.

Now, whats next? I’ve decided by popular demand of my readers to do a book on how not to become a victim of kidnappers, or human-traffickers. I may title it, Not a Victim. I’m going to start work on this next, but I’m entertaining the idea of doing a sequel to Crossroads Texas, as well. I kind of left it open ended to be able to do just that, so that may be in the future.

I’ve also decided that its time to bring Steve Rawlings back in another installment of The Forgotten Man series. So look for that on the horizon.

UPDATE: 02/20/21- Well wasn’t that just interesting? Just lived through the worst winter storm Texas has seen in 100 years! Thankfully I’ve lived rough and rural most of my life and had the time to prepare for the storm though it exceeded every forecast in its intensity. I stocked up on extra propane, filled and stockpiled fuel for our RV’s onboard generator and filled the water tank. Power outages began almost immediately and the local propane distributor ran out of gas and due to the horrible icy roads couldn’t get a transport in to fill his tanks. With a stocked freezer and pantry, power, and heat, I was as comfortable as one could be in this situation. Many were not so lucky.

UPDATE: 01/10/2021- Wintering in Central Texas we caught a not-so-common snow storm that only happens every six or seven years. Good writing weather! Working diligently on Crossroads Texas, a dark story about a small Texas town where everyone has something to hide…and there are more than a few deadly secrets.

UPDATE: 11/13/2020- Book #8 is now available on Amazon.

Behind the Mask-Published

UPDATE: 11/9/2020 Wintering in Central Texas this year with plans to head back up to Montana in the Spring. I’m looking for literary representation for Behind the Mask- An Anthology of Short Stories with the hopes of publishing it traditionally. Something of a change but I think a good book to try this route.

Meanwhile I’m well into book#9, a dark story about a small Texas town with many secrets, and all of them are deadly. Currently shooting for a Summer 2021 completion.

UPDATE: 10/14/2020 In July I published the final book in The Redemption Wall trilogy, The Redeemers Vow. It is receiving rave reviews so check it out if you haven’t already.

I’ve just finished putting together, Behind the Mask-An Anthology of Short Stories. This is great mix of a collection of short stories I have written in the last few years. I’ll update here when I have a publishing date.

UPDATE: 10/5/2019 I am just ten miles east of Sarasota, Florida with the camper parked in Myakka State Park. I’ll be here for a couple of months before heading back to Texas. While in Florida this last six months or so I’ve published several short stories that have been well received by my readers and have also won several awards from competitions, which is kinda cool. Click on the menu at the top right-hand corner of this page and read them. I’ve had good fun writing them, and undoubtedly there will be more.

When I spend a year writing a 120,000-word novel, its kinda fun to throw together a short 5,000 to a 15,000-word story I can pen THE END to quickly. Stay tuned for more of these short stories.

Meanwhile, I’m at work on book #7 which is the third book in The Redemption Wall series. Yes, Luke Canfield returns and picks up the story from Slave Tracks. Rescuing kidnap victims in Colombia and putting down communist insurgencies in Central America while running guns into Cuba and Honduras, living life on the edge.

It’s way too early to project a publishing date, but I’m shooting for the Spring of 2020.

If you’re not already doing so, LIKE and FOLLOW my Facebook page here, for updates on what’s getting published.

UPDATE: 6/18/2019  The Caldera Abduction published a week ago and is doing very well. So far, it is the best book release to date. I’m now spending some time going back and editing my first five books again, just to clean up spelling and punctuation errors that were missed in previous edits. I’ve discovered that after six novels, I’ve become a much better writer, and want that to reflect in all of my books.

Next up, I’ll be starting on book #3 in The Redemption Wall series, that I think, will be the final book in the series. I’m now referring to the series as a trilogy, which may, or may not pan out, depending on if I can get the whole story told in one more volume without it becoming a supersize novel. Time will tell. Luke has a lot of story still to tell.

UPDATE: 5/3/2019: I’m in Florida, parked at Ft. Pickens Campground across the bay from Pensacola on the Gulf Shores National Seashore. I’ve been here a month now, and it is here I will finish “The Caldera Abduction.” Despite the fact that I am within spitting distance from the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Pensacola Bay on the other I’ve yet to wet a line. I’m totally engulfed in the storyline for this book and won’t relax until I put ‘The End’ on it. So stay tuned. A great story is coming your way.

UPDATE 02/25/2019:  I’m back in Texas working on book #6 “The Caldera Abduction” that I’d promised you’all would be ready this spring, so bear with me, the story is going to be a good one. Stay tuned to this site for updates on its release….

Also on the burner, is book #3 in The Redemption Wall series. I’ve had more questions from readers asking if Luke Canfield will return, and where fate will take him, and I assure you he’s coming back with lots of new adventures!
