Taking it on the road…..

Fly fishing in a river

UPDATE: 07/24/2022- We are still on the road with over 30,000 miles under the rig and ten novels published. We’ve been coast to coast, from California and Oregon to Maine. Montana and Wyoming to Florida and points in between.  We try and find places along the route where we can stay a couple of months or so to get a feel for the area and people. It’s a gypsy’s life but works well for a writer.

We’re taking it on the road! After two years of rough camping in tents together across North America and New Zealand, my Kiwi inamorata and best camping buddy and I have decided we fancy life on the road enough to do it full time, so in November 2017 we ordered our new asylum.
With all, or at least most of, the conveniences of home, she and I can travel and live full time on the road, while I get my office in the toy hauler section in the rear of the RV, perduring the scrivening of my novels and inasmuch as we’ll be traveling, maybe bang out a few articles for travel magazines along the trail.
The new rig will be ready for us late February, 2018 so we are making plans to head to Wyoming in the spring, the setting of my third novel, The Forgotten Man, where I can along with the daily grind of punching the keyboard, get in a fair dose of trout fishing on the lakes and rivers, just to maintain what little sanity remains in my cranium.
Looking forward to sharing the journey on back roads and bi-ways with all my chimerical friends!
